1st Letter from the MTC

Hey family!
It's been a good 6 days here at the MTC. The days go by really slow but when I look back they seem like a blur. My P-days are every Tuesday here in the MTC. I definitely am feeling the spirit more and my testimony is growing. I am coming to know that this church is true. I haven't had as much time to read the BoM as I thought but I am reading it. But I'm also reading Preach My Gospel and going to class all of the time. My companion's name is Elder Scott. He played linebacker for his high school in California. Supposedly he was a pretty big recruit (all of the Pac-12 schools offered him) but he tore both of his ACL's. After his mission he'll see where is knees are at back he wants to play for BYU. My departure date is the 12th of February. I guess I'm in the last group of missionaries that will be here 3 weeks. Tell mom thanks for the care package and also Jenn. My favorite scripture (so far) is Mosiah 2:41. The first few days were rough but it's definitely getting better as I am feeling the spirit more. I love and miss all of you guys.

Love,
Ryan

Reporting to the MTC

We left this morning to take Ryan Elder Ballif to the MTC. We stopped for a farewell lunch with our missionary at DP Cheesesteaks and then headed over to drop him off at the MTC.
